About Us
FireStorm Drama Ministry Troupe started in 2009 as a class offered as part of a homeschool tutorial called South Carroll Covenant Keepers, also known as SCCK.
In May of 2009, FireStorm held their first ever coffeehouse event at St. Joe's Catholic Church, and had a turn out of over 100 people.
A year after, FireStorm was gaining a reputation for their skits, monologues, and musical performances. They performed at different church talent shows, youth group events, and Christian camps.
On May 14, 2010, FireStorm's second coffeehouse ensued. The turnout for this event was over 150 people! It was amazing! Along with the previous skits, FireStorm introduced a number of fresh, new skits, and also had the bands Manvel and Terms Of Endearment play along, too! There was music, skits, food, and a special guest speaker, Daniel A.
On May 25, 2010, FireStorm officially split from the South Carroll Covenant Keepers oversight program and became an independent drama ministry troupe. They began holding rehearsals at the troupe director's home.
In late December 2010 and early January 2011, FireStorm had auditions and excitedly welcomed six new people to the team!
FireStorm then began to rehearse on Friday nights at the Eldersburg library, creating new skits and monologues, holding auditions and adding new team members, and anxiously waiting for future performances!
At the beginning of the 2011 school year, FireStorm started to rehearse at Winfield Bible Chapel.
